Take the bolt apart and make sure the claw spring/ejector spring are still intact or not gummed up or anything?

Its a 30 second job to strip the T3 extractor (with a vice and detal pick), sounds like the extractor hook has been damaged, bent or has lost the edge which catches the brass) - suggest you take it to someone who knows what they are doing and request they fit a new etxctractor claw

Not clear if you're talking extractor or ejector. The extractor pulls the case from the chamber, when the case neck is removed from the chamber, the ejector spring turns the case about the extractor claw making the case neck touch and run on the action inner wall. When the case is further withdrawn by the bolt, the case passes the ejection port in the action wall at which point the ejector is able to fling the case clear. The T3 with 222/223 cases, you sometimes get flat spots on the case neck where its hit the action side wall.

A broken ejector is likely to result in the case looking like its stuck to the end of bolt and will not be ejected. A broken extractor might not extract the case from the chamber or could fail as the case moves from the chamber to the action side wall by dropping the case. Although you might find it fails another way.

This is all true for a gun that was built right in the first place and hasn't been modified like rebarelled badly.

Both ejector and extractor should be under spring tension and undamaged. Its a good DIY investigation, has nothing to do with safety and you'll learn about your gun.
