    For you greased line guys.

Did a little fishing on the Deschutes river after varmint shooting. Fished for about 40 minutes, caught a small one and had a strike. Fish is a small red side rainbow trout. Fly is a salmon fly imitation (big stone fly).

I bought that reel about 24 years ago at a second hand sports shop for $9.95. They had no idea what they had. Even a blind hog finds acorn once in a while.

Looks like a cracking spot and nice fish, can't beat a day shooting and then fishing!

Super - makes me want to break the rod out and wet a fly or two

Love that Hardy Perfect. I have a Marquis that I also bought about 20 years ago when I first started salmon fishing.

Those old Hardy's have a sound like no other reel
