    7/08 with a 140 gr.

Please help save me some time, can anyone suggest a favorite powder (accuracy) for the above combo? Going to be shooting a 140 gr. Nosler Partition out of a 20" barrel.
    Thanks

I'm using Vhit N140 in mine

I used RL15 and Varget to excellent effect and a friend uses RL15 and H4895 for equally good results. My friend tried different seating lengths with the same powder load (H4895) and the group shrank remarkably - so find a good powder load and fine tune seating for best results.

Mild and super accurate load for my 7mm-08s is 40.0 gr Varget or H-4895 with any 139 or 140 gr bullet.

42.5 gr RL-15 or Varget steps it up a bit, still well under 1 MOA with Sierra PH and GK, Hornady Interlock and SST, Nosler Accubond and Barnes TSX.

A full case (around 45.0 gr ) of H-4350 is close to max, and gives me very small groups at high velocity from my Tikka T3, with the Sierra GK. I know you have a hard time getting W760 / H-414 in the UK, but the same load is a bit denser, so not compressed, just full - great velocity and accuracy. RL-17, too.

Formulations of H-4895 and IMR-4064 have changed, so start lower, about 38.0 grs with 140-gr bullets. I stopped at 41.5 gr with each as I was getting small groups to the same spot as the other loads, from all three of my 7mm-08 rifles. MV, which I did not measure, must be good.
