    Kate Middleton...

Anyone notice the rifle by her feet at the Somme ceremony? Looks like a Tikka T3 tactical?

It certainly does look like a Tikka T3 tactical.

Bit of a faux pas having that in the photograph.

Looks a bit like a Schmidt on top, could belong to security team, as said above bit of a slip. Just thought it could also be a subliminal message to those who might try it on.

Can,t fault the girl, I think she made a reasonable choice of rifle and scope there. Who says they always go for a Holland?
It's the calibre of the shooter that counts not the calibre of the rifle.

Quite possibly, the French have often done this with sniper rifles e.g. the F1. Don't knock it just because it's different because we learnt a lot about sniping from the French. After all they deployed snipers in the first world war long before we tried to catch up, and they haven't exactly been slouches in the field of sniping since then.

Well the stock is stiffer there so that is a plus.
