    What do you reckon happened here then?

    I thought it had a single antler so shot it but was suprised to see the other one!

    a fence or a rta are probably the most likely candidates - seen it quite a few times in red from pushing under fences

    Same thing that happened to this one. That reminds me 4 years on its still in my freezer.

    Ah right yes I thought it might be a rta but wasn't sure if it might be a deformity.

    I've got a roe head with the same thing. Left eye is almost covered.

    I shot this stag, much the same, the antler wansnt actually connected to the skull, only held on by skin.Attachment 71832

    I doubt that one in my photo was a RTA as i live a long way from the road. There are hundred of things out in the woods , forest that can damage a roes antler when in velvet
