    New member near hexham

Afternoon, new to the site from wark area near Hexham, work on an estate as a Woodman, spend a lot of time helping the keeper on the rearing feild and with the shoot. Prefer that kind of work to the tree work and fencing I do On the estate. Currently have a .243 and .22, really wanting to get into deer more but the cost of things has slowed me down. Hoping to take a place on the deer stalking on the estate next year if I can afford. Would be keen to know of any dsc1 course at kielder if there are any happening.

    Thanks grant

    Welcome!

Most years I get to fish the North Tyne not far from you.

Last year I was fishing early in the morning and the hounds came through, and a couple of years ago my fishing was interrupted by an otter.

    Fantastic country!

Welcome. I stayed in Haydon Bridge a couple of nights ago whilst working in Newcastle & am very fond of the area too. I've still to shoot or stalk in Northumberland but I think that this might be the year.

A warm Northumbrian welcome to you. With regards to a DSC1 course I think Jon Snowdon at Greenlee is running one on the 12th September 2016, this is about 20 mins from you. PM if you wish, and I shall provide more details
