    Need Disco help

Ok just arrived outside Wrexham and the Disco breaks are squealing.
    Only started at Tebay services.

Looking for advice on a decent garage in or near to Wrexham that won't rip the a**e out of my wallet to get my Disco brakes done!

    Any suggestions gratefully recieved.

    Cheers

Well if you could limp as far as Caernarfon in the morning then the best garage in North Wales (IMHO) is B&K Williams.
Been using them for nearly 20 years, and their level of service is second to none.

thanks for the info - if nothing else comes in before the morn, I'll most likely be heading that way.

It was only as I was pulling out of the services that I touched the brakes and they made a funny noise.
I had thought I would have enough pad left for a long weekend but it must have been in the stop start of the road works that knackered them.
However I think a calliper may have gone as well now as I pulled into the site.

    Just squealing?
no fade or loss of barking performance?

It was initially just squealing but as I got to the site it turned into grinding.
Even I with my limited mechanical skills realised that was not good.
Plus the mrs wants to take No2 child to Alton Towers so I would rather get it fixed

Ask around the site there might be some one to look at it or maybe if a local they can direct you to a repairer. Maybe hire a car for the Alton Towers trip while it is being fixed.

    Hi,
If you have been through Road Works, it's possible you have picked up a bit of grit between the caliper and the disc. Try reversing and dabbing the brakes to see if you can shift it.
