Specialist Subject: Stating The Bleeding Obvious

So it transpires that badgers don't transmit TB to cattle by touch, but by coming into contact with infected waste matter. Following extensive research it appears that badgers aren't snuggling up to cows and rubbing themselves on them to spread this vile disease. Contrary to what some people must have thought prior to the release of this!

Who'd have thought it? I suppose that they had previously ruled out sexual transmission, so advice to farmers to issue condoms to all male badgers and bulls was already rescinded.

Seriously though, if the spread of infection is in the fields, then what dairy farmers do to stop further infection needs looked at as it is believed that infected faeces can last for 6 months. So even if all the badgers are destroyed, that might not be the end of the problem.

I'm not sure how much this study cost but any beef or dairy farmer in the south west could have told them this.

Seeing as most of the milk we buy in supermarkets is from the EU, and a lot of our very own milk goes into processing for baby milk powder around the globe, why don't we just pop a little warning on the tin - 'may contain traces of bovine TB'....

I believe Brian May and Chris Packham have started a new program to teach Badgers to flush and wipe after.......

It appears it not just bears the s**t in the woods? Who knew?

The Sun is hot, the Earth is quite round...but Katie's boobs...over the years they've waxed and waned like a pair of gibbous moons. Some years they're huge, some years they're normal sized. It's just one of those mysteries we are not meant to wot of, no matter how much some of us would like to wot.

    Kill them. Kill them all.

Badgers...magpies...zebras...pandas...piano keyboards all the same. "Black and white vandals"...and Britain better off without them. Never did see a badger, a magpie, zebra, panda nor a piano keyboard in the countryside that wasn't up to no good.

Oh! Must go. My medication has arrived.
