Wouldn't it be nice... (another rant about left handed rifles)

Wouldn't it be nice if manufacturer websites and rifle reviewing journalists said up front this model is not available in left hand. That way we wouldn't have to trawl through the website or article looking for the sentence that said, yes it's available in left hand. If it's not available orientation isn't usually mentioned.

hey ho, rant over...(but please don't get me started on the left-handed surcharge!)

    Hi
totally agree, all my family are lefties. If only the gun makers / sellers knew how much their ignorance has cost them...........

Couldn't agree more, both my rifles are left handed, when I eventually get another I will debarrel an action and put it on the back burner until I can think of a calibre to rebarrel it with. once you have an action the worlds your oyster!

+1 - in fact I have two rifles in store for their actions ATM - don't need them, but at least it gives me options.

I have stumbled along quite happily for many years putting up with right handed rifles. Some time ago I purchased a CZ .22 left handed bolt action. After a few months I got rid of it because I could never find the bloody bolt!

One day somebody is going to make a beautiful rifle that is only available left handed, just to spite all those right handed shooters out there. I can of course use a right handed rifle (unlike most right handlers when you give them a lefty) but a lefty is so much nicer.

    Great idea!
I learnt to shoot on SA80s which would eject into your face if you shot them left handed, and my first deer rifle was a lovely sako 75 right handed, which I shot off the left shoulder but it was so much better when I switched to fully left handed
