    medal class??

    i shot this old roe buck in west herefordshire this evening and am contemplating getting it measured. its the biggest ive ever shot, and a real beauty but do you think its medal class and worth me sending off?Attachment 75093y,Click image for larger version.

    Definite medal, probably a silver going by the photo but photos can be deceptive. Well done.

    Nice buck, the key to roe medals is weight and you'll have to wait three months for it to dry out before you can have it measured. Don't cut too much off the skull before measuring but if you've got over 500grms green then you have a good chance of a medal. Very hard to say from a photo but I'd say a good bronze.

    Karamoja, I'd be very surprised if there were not roe both sides of the Wye either spreading down from mid-Wales or west from the Cotswolds. They're in Monmouthshire and the Forest of Dean.

    So bleached and partially dried (green) as you call it its 650 grams. So will have to see if it makes a trophy
