    Early reaction to the call

    Hi All
I've been leaving my Roe alone for the last few weeks after shooting quite a few earlier on.

On Saturday I had to drop some stuff off at one of the farms I stalk in the Cotswolds so I thought I would have a look for a buck while I was there. I headed for a highseat to get a better veiw of the field and immediately spotted a buck the far end of the field. Unfortunately some b*****d had nicked the seat off my highseat so I had to stand on the indside and lean against the tree, I put the rifle across the rest and got my video camera out. I wasnt over worried about shooting something as I would be back up here for the rut.

I thought I'd just try a squeak on the buttalo to see what reaction I got and this was it.

Sorry about the video quality I was filming, useing the call and sitting in a highseat without a seat Health and safety eh!!

I didnt film him any longer as I couldnt manage the buttalo, camera and rifle

Bl**dy hell, you definitely need to start bottling the local water and shipping it Eastwards Either that or all our big bucks are migrating Westwards

    Thumbs down Early call

Wayne i was out with a mate the weekend and after spoting a respectable buck at about three hundred yards he was keen to try an early call to test what the response would be.

Well two or three pips later the response he got was to see a white ass heading off over the horizon at top speed

I said next time bring an air horn and see if you can get them to run off any faster
Good to see your efforts however faired slightly better as that is a nice buck you have there .

    Speak soon

looks like that fella was off to an early start
or did he realise something more
like the rut was on already
be interesting to see how many others in that area are having the same effect
mine ain't started yet or so i think, might need to give a few peeps on the call just incase
good start and nice beast Wayne
