    Ruger Precision Thread size

Would anybody be able to confirm the thread size of the barrel on a 6.5 Creedmoor please? Is it 5/8 x 24 UNEF or 5/8 x 24 UNF?

That's interesting because I have been told by someone else it was UNEF. I am currently waiting for a response from Ruger or Viking arms to confirm it.

    5/8 x 18 is UNF
    5/8 x 24 is UNEF

    The RPR has got a 5/8 x 24 thread so it's UNEF,

Odd not sure then I have one and have wildcat unf mod on it , but there is a new version so maybe they changed it.

There's no such thing as 5/8"x24 UNF, its UNEF.

Not that the F or the EF part really matter because its a 5/8" standard UN 60 thread form at 24 TPI...

Thanks for all the replies everyone, so to add confusion to it I have had a reply from Ruger and there only response was "5/8x24 UNF"

5/8"x24 tells you what you need to know, the designation UNF or UNEF is unimportant, as per Andy RV above.

Okay I think I understand now, so if I purchase a 5/8x24 moderator it should fit fine as it is the threads per inch which determines if it is fine or extra fine, makes sense now.
