Seem to be whole host of new cheaper thermal imagers coming out on Scott Country web site. Some attachable to Iphone. Anyone tried any? Are they any good?
For typical spotting applications, they're all pretty useless
Poor resolution combined with small lenses giving wide fields of view mean that they struggle to detect even deer sized targets at anything more than short ranges.
The trend in thermal imagers which have the performance to meet most shooting requirements seems to be to keep the price around the same and improve the spec.
