Thread: Knife

    Knife

I'm sure this has been asked previously but i thought i'd tap into the expertise out there.

Santa is coming & i need a new knife.

I don't want a cheap one but don't want to spend £££ on it either, prob £100. The Mrs will buy it so i'd like one to last.

It will be mainly for stalking use, doesn't need to be uber tough for splitting wood etc.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks for any advice

    Craig.

Gerber gator (I think) keeps a good edge, the handle is great and doesn't slip even when your hands are covered in whatever. Should be some£50ish, which leaves enough for a decent diamond steel to keep it sharp

Have a look at this http://www.casstrom.co.uk/epages/Cas...Products/10618
Comes in under budget and a mighty fine piece of kit. If I needed another knife (which I don't apoarently!) Then it would be one of these in orange.

What are you after fixed or folding ? Plenty of choice out there depending on what you want to use it for personally i would look for a stainless blade with Sandvik 12c27 steel - Eka Swingblade, Mora etc Etc Etc.
