Very pleased with the addition to my Argo

I normally shoot with a pal, but earlier in the year had a cracking stag on my own, and it was a sod of a job getting it into the back to the argo on my own. In fact all movement of the beast was a hassle. Then last week my pal and i had a hind, a really big one and again even two of us thought it was a fair effort getting it loaded - ok, i accept we are getting on and not the athletes we were 40 years ago.

So a wee bit of thought, a little welding and an ebay 3000 lbs wireless remote winch later and we have a grand rear mounted deer recovery and loading winch / suspended gralloch device and butchery and skinning assistant. It was tested this week, and it is brilliant, it will extend out re deer stalking another good few years!

Ok, roe are user friendly, but these ones take some moving!

    Brilliant idea!
I never make the same mistake twice.

I make it five or six times.

    Just to be sure.

Have you also thought about a blood tray type liner for the back of the argo. They save blood getting into the running gear and are easier to wash out that the floor pans.

Dave also informs us it works great for suspending their sex swing... although at 3000lb the winch is the weak link.
