    Mouse Deer

Following on from yesterday's "overkill" thread, here is some video footage of the Mouse Deer, the smallest of all known hoofed animals:

Apparently female mouse deer have lives not dissimilar to those of female muntjac, in that they are sexually mature at six months, have a gestation period of 4.5 months, and can be pregnant again within an hour or two of giving birth!

I would really welcome a few of them about the place, having just stalked, shot and mauled out a big injured Fallow buck. Busted ribs and shoulder, rut injury I think as he was miles from the nearest road. They would fit nicely in my game pocket I think

You'd want a couple to fill a sandwich though.

    What breed was it?
Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not using it in a fruit salad.

Amateurs practice until they get it right. Professionals practice until they never get it wrong.
