And also to the family of the Polish lorry driver killed when it was hi-jacked!

Let's face it, Europe is being invaded. Like Gadaffi said. "We'll send a million men. Each of them will have six wives, and each wife will have six children". Our welfare system will fund it.

this thread was not intended to start the same old arguments

+1. We live in difficult times and it pays to be vigilant in crowded places, but nothing could have predicted this. Our thoughts are with all those affected.

I agree, this is not the time or the place to raise political issues.

Again a shocking, cowardly act by those who have no care for peoples lives. To loose anyone in such awful circumstances at anytime is heart breaking, but even more so at this time of year, when people are enjoying the festive season.

Let us hope the culprits are caught soon.

Our condolences to all those who have lost their lives, and our best wishes to everyone who have been injured for a full recovery.

Very sad news indeed.
Sincere condolences to those who have lost loved ones and best wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.

A terrible and barbaric act my thoughts go out to those affected and the German people ... Let's hope the perpetrators are caught quickly , I can't agree that it isn't the time to raise those issues as awful as this is I think the time to discuss such things is when political issues ( or facts as they are also called ) is staring you in the face , but again my thoughts to those affected very sad

I am part German. I have German relations, who are originally from Reichenbach in the Russian Zone AKA East Germany, where there grandfather was murdered in the cause of Socialism. They now live in Heidenheim, Heildelberg, and the centre of Munich. I'll let people hazard a guess as to what and where our thoughts are at the moment.

Having been to Christmas markets at night it is obvious that it would be full of young children makes for very sad reading.
