    which 1-4 or 1-6x 24 scope for under 300.

Seasons greetings everyone! I am looking for a 1-4x24 or a 1-6 x24 scope for under 300 it can be illuminated or non illuminated, new or secondhand. It will be used on a .22rimfire in a gallery but also ok on rabbits if I get the chance. Can anyone give any suggestions or opinions on ones to look at and also ones to avoid. Many thanks SBM?

I've got a Bushnell that I use for gallery....

I'm not sure its really got the legs to use for rabbits as well, for clean shots on a .22rf; and its got more mag than you requested.

To use the same rifle / scope for gallery and vermin I would use a Nikon ProStaff which is one of the best multi purpose scopes I've used, and the light transmission is awesome.

This is just my personal view of what I found works, others will use different set ups.
    Regards.
