    First time reloading problems

For the first time ever I did some reloading for my trip to Bavaria in the beginning of December. Out of 20 shots fired I had 5 misfires , with the primer barely being touched.

The cases were once fired 308 Winchester, reloaded with 150 g noslers in a lee loader. The gun a blaser r8 pro success

any theories, It's been suggested that I wasn't slamming the bolt hard enough in the blaser ??

Are the cases full length resized?

If the primer is barely touched is it seated to deep ?

My first ever reloads resulted in a few misfires and taking more care over priming using just enough pressure to seat rather than an extra squeeze to make sure seemed to cure the problem and it hasn't happen since

ive had this issue and it was because i hadn't full length resized the cases when they were once fired in someone else's rifle.
I would try full length residing if you have only neck sized them.

    I never resized them. No

they must have been resized or the bullets would drop out and not be held in. If you didn't resize them then whoever did probably only neck sized them. I would try full length resizing first

Once fired cases....In this gun or another?

I would probably try to recreate it using primed empty cases

seen this with the primer ram being used the wrong way around,

ie: the rounded end being used instead of the flat end

my understanding is that full length resizing is the general consensus for blasers. Something to do with the way the bolt locks up? I FL size for mine and have had no issues as you have mentioned, I have had light strikes on factory ammo, due to trying to cycle the bolt slowly/quietly.
