    Castello del Terriccio
The ‘castle of the land’ with breathtaking views over the Tyrean Sea and of Elba, Corsica, Capraia, and Gorgona, Castello del Terriccio is one of the largest estates in Tuscany. The estate traces its roots back to the Etruscan era when its strategic seaside location proved to be an ideal place from which to keep watch for pirates heading toward the coast. Still visible, the ruins of the Terriccio Castle date to this era.
The estate’s real history, however, begins in the 13th century when the Counts of Gaetani acquired the estate, building the farmhouses and wine cellar that still stand today. In its heyday in the 19th century, the estate was self sufficient, supporting 600 people. In the late 1700s, the Gaetanis sold the estate to a Polish prince, who in turn sold it to the family of the present owner in 1921.
    Specifics of offering
The exclusive package includes the invitation to stay for four days and three nights as a private guest of Castello del Terriccio in the winery’s guesthouse, La Marana. La Marana benefits from an almost constant sea breeze – the inspiration behind the name of one of the estate’s white wines, Con Vento, literally ‘with the wind’. From its covered terrace, swimming pool and bedrooms the house boasts gorgeous views across the vineyards, olive groves and down to the sea. La Marana’s staff extend the winery’s hospitality, with meals crafted from local produce.

Could you give us some details of the recent trips? Did anyone from SD go on these trips? How many boar were seen/shot at/harvested etc?
It certainly looks like an interesting offer. If any members from the site have been on this hunt, it would be good to get some feedback.

Buckaroo, Thanks for your message. The three clients who came on the first trip were not really stalking men (pheasant shooting clients of mine), if you as such they are not on SD, I'm sure they would be happy to talk to you wanted.
This was a trial trip and designed to find any week spots or areas that needed to be altered.
From conversation with them and my own observations I'm very happy to post my view of the trip:
    Accommodation and food superb
Wine and wine tasting, excellent (see https://www.leaandsandeman.co.uk/win...cio-81-04.html) for the wines sampled and enjoyed.
Stalking: Each of the three clients was accompanied at all times by a guard (Italian equivalent of a stalker), these guards had not taken out clients before so all where unsure what to expect.
As previously mentioned the clients are really bird shooters, we should have spent more time on the range with them getting them used to the rifles. Much of the shooting was taken out in low light conditions and proved challenging. In 4 sessions there were four boar here shot by 3 people. At this point I would also like to add that an additional 9 shots were taken at boar but missed. So it would be safe to see 13 realistic chances were presented over the 4 outings.
If you have any specific questions please feel free to ask.

Could you please clarify? The title says high seat boar but then says people were guided to boar? Are you offering both services?
Blaser K95 Stutzen - the ultimate deer stalking rifle

Blaser R93 - Retired now and probably Moshe Dayan's last choice of hunting rifles.

I expect he means each hunter has a guide

Very interested in your offer, can you bring your own rifle, and what about permits and licences etc, where do you fly from and how much, is it possible to fish in the time between hunting.

HunterInter is correct, eacch hunter has guide with him, it is all static hunting

Howzat, Yes youre own rifle is no problem as long as it is a suitable calibre. Permits and licences are included but you will need to prove insurance (BASC, CA etc.) The nearest airport is Pisa about 40 minutes and the price includes transfers. Im afarid in this part of Tuscany there is no fishing available except for in the sea which is not very productive to say the least. With the last group we did a bit of sightseeing between sessions.
    Cost is 1750 per person

Howzat, If you want any further information or to talk to one of the clients who went on the last trip just shout.
