I got excited - it looks great, love the green stock and the price is good and it comes in 6.5 creed moor and Grendel and then i got unexcited because it doesn't come in lefthand...people I know with Howa's are happy with them...
I plan to upgrade my Howa 1500 .308 to one of these - also probably in .308. According to the specs it is less than 200g heavier than a Sako Carbon Light and comes with a cerakote action and barrel. At around a £1000 it is a lot cheaper than the carbon light!
Howa is good about selling almost every combination of barreled action which are offered in their rifles, and some which are not, including lightweight contour and fluted. So it is possible to build a Howa 1500 with a stock of your choosing, from heavy laminated wood to very light weight carbon graphite and fiberglass.
