I work with GIS/GPS everyday, by the sounds of it you need a simple basic model, the etrex is the one for you

Position and hold must be firm enough to support the firearm
The firearm must point naturally at the target without any undue physical effort
Sight alignment (aiming) must be correct
The shot must be released and followed through without disturbing the position

    Hi Griff

if its a GPS device (rather than Sat Nav)

I have a Magellan GPS 300 (waterproof, floats and works well)

It is one of the early GPS units, it does not display mapping as we are used to now with "sat nav" devices but co-ordinate data. (location, date time, speed, altitude, direction of travel, compass points, waymark route, you can enter location via grid ref and navigate to that GR)

Not sure if this is what you want, its about ten years old and still works very well, although not as advanced as todays marvels it gives one all the info you need for basig navigation.
