    Blaser .223

After getting loads of advice and opinions I have now got a Blaser in .223 with a 7mm 08barrel on order. My question is to .223 users is what factory ammo do you use as I am finding it hard to get a good group using federal, 55gr?Thanks in advanced.

my steyr has a twist rate of 1:9 and wont shoot the lighter rounds consistantly. For factory ammo I settled on 55gr federal soft points and for reloading i use 60gr hornady v-max heads. As i only shoot foxes with this rifle meat damage doesnt come into the equation. hope this helps but i would say check your twist rate and experiment with a suitable bullet weight.

    regards

I handload for mine I'm getting 3550fps with 50grain V max's, I run it with a 1.1/4 zero at 100 and from memory its dropping about 4.1/2'' at 300yds Nice and flat and quite nasty when it gets there.

I have bought some Remmington 55 gr which are grouping a lot better then the Federal, also shooting flatter. I will post my barrel details later, thanks for the replies.
