    Over the top

I have just been done a few months ago for the same not wearing a seat belt cost me 60 with no penalty points.
I am glad these to persons of disputed parentage wasnt the ones who stopped my rangie .
Feck me ridged with the blunt end of a busman trumpet ,there is no need for that kind of force, its no wonder Jo Public dosent have any respect for them.

If you read the whole story it's not quite so cut and dry... They stopped him for not wearing a seatbelt during which 'the car lurched forward and hit the officer'.... the bloke then drove off 'considering the matter dealt with'

So they stopped him, he bumped an officer with his car and then drove off! That is why they gave chase.

Still, it does look like they have been watching a bit too much of 'The Sweeney' doesn't it!

I new a few good ones and a couple in Firearms but theyve all thrown the towel in..

I was pulled over as my number plate spacings werent correct. No niceties just threw the book at me in a sarcastic bloody ignorant manner.

Took my money which is all they were after. No intention of talking to me about getting it changed and a warning

Less and less real policing by honourable people and more and more school prefects looking for an easy pension loving all the pc and paperwork.

On sitting in the back of the car the first thing over the radio was the fact i am a fac cert holder
Blessed be the sheeple for they shall inherit bugger all...

    Jeezo!!!!
Excessive force, definitely yes. Looks like his blood was boiling after the chase and they just lot control when he finally stopped!
Don't know what the cop was thinking about standing on the bonnet of the RR, if the driver decides to floor it, could be in the deep stuff and what was with guy with the baton like trying to smash the window!!! About 10 attempts and still struggling to smash it
I do find it surprising however, that it was a 17 minute all singing and dancing pursuit and the old boy just happened to think it was a police escort! Funny how he just happened to stop before the stinger.....maybe me being sceptical there!!

Anyway, we all know what will happen from recent, past events, slap on the wrist, keep your head down and back on duty in no time,

between 1995 and 2005 30 people have been shot dead by police in 'unusual' circumstances....no officer has been convicted of an offence....be careful out there

Range Rover windows are dam near indestructible i know someone with tvs in the back of the head rests and someone tried to break in to take the tvs they assume thats what it was and had to give up as the couldn't put the window through it just cracks but wont go through.

Also if he was trying to get away from the po po he wasn't doing a very good job as he was doing between 30 and 40 mph for most of it

I cannot imagine why anyone is surprised, there is the same proportion of Police who are crap at there job as any other proffession. Look what a fine job they do of policing the Firearms act!

If you think that is a worry, just remember when you go into hospital you may just get one of those crap doctors who aint no good at thier job!! Why do you think the government produces surgeons stats, huh?

    George,

I do not reckon he was trying to escape, as you rightly point out, he seemed to be only doing 30 to 40 mph, what I intimate in my statement is that he was taking the p*ss out of the policeman for as long as he could then seen the stinger and thought "wait a minute, 150-200 quid a corner on this car, i think i'll stop now"

With regards to the windows, a pen could smash a window, blunt objects like a batton no good.....this according to autoglass anyway!!
What felt and looked like a fricking half brick smacked my windscreen not long ago, no damage, tinniest pebble then also smashed into the screen which caused the damage.

I was stripping a car out when i was about 13/14 (trying to make it faster) for dicking about on my farm and we had the genius plan of putting the windows through to take out some more weight so one of my friends picks up a brick and hurls it at one of the back windows on the H reg ford fiesta (failed MOT and all that just a field car) the brick proceded to bounce right back at him and land on his foot it was one of the most funny things i have ever seen. glass is a strange thing i watched someone chucked a glass off from about a 40-50 foot balcony onto concrete (no one around down their to hit) and it bounced i kid you not. If i hadn't seen it i would never have believed it but it happened. He tried it agin with more people about and it shattered
