Koi herpes virus

I hope i'm posting this in the right section of the forum and if not can admin move it. There has been a confirmed outbreak of koi herpes virus in North London and hundreds of carp have died as a result please take care when fishing in this area and if you have please disinfect your fishing equipment asap.

Sorry, but absolute waste of time, unless the dip is fresh and unused by others.
There is only one safe option, nets, sling, sack, mats etc washed, rinsed and dried between trips to different lakes.
I keep two sets of each for this very reason, all mesh's slings etc go straight in the washing machine post trip, mats get
cleaned off and (bleach is good) and are not used again come what may until dry.
This is what I and my friends do always, it is insisted on for the syndicate members, we have now survived without an issue
for nearly 20 years now, while all around have had problems and fish kills.
