    First Highseat

    Well D-day came it was time to make my first highseat, After 2 1/2hrs and two 2x4s and five 2x2s plus over 100 3ins screws here it is.

    although it doesnt open i have seen it on top of the forum page very nice indeed should last a long time that one hope you get plenty of deer from it all the best,wayne

    Teckel, you are obviously of a modest weight, lucky blighter, because if I tried going up that ladder it would sink faster than i could climb. I like a spreader bar on the bottom of the ladder to spread my not inconsiderable weight and to limit sinkage.

    flytie don't put yourself down that's for other's to do, your not heavy just big boned. We thought about putting a spreader bar on the bottom, the ground that we are putting it on is fairly hard so we don't think we'll have a problem.

    looks pukka. would extend a foot rest on outside of ladder if i was you as dangling lgs get sore.

    looks better than the one i knocked up the other morning- but I havent got a photo of that!! Only used 40 screws though!
