Thumbs up Pups a fast learner

After a good stalk into a Fallow Pricket amongst some spruce trees. Got my pup sat up watching and took a front chest shot 65-70yrd. After the wait i took my pup to piont of impact. He first sented the trail then came opon the blood trail through a ditch into long grass Bingo apart from being told good boy find it, he found it without my help. Im well happy.
The Pricket was shot inside the wood

it ran out of the wood, through a ditch into long grass probally 25-30yrds. Pup was not long in finding the Deer, he was working steady in front of me (i could see the blood trail) and when i presume he sented the actual Deer he was there in a Flash. A few times i took him away from the blood and Deer in different directions and each time he found the Deer. Any tips on teaching him to gruff an grow when he has found a Deer???????
The pup is a LabxVisla and know more than me. So any tips or help would be VERY GOOD Thanks
