    Logs for high seats

    I have to manufacture 5 or 6 high seats any members know where i can aquire 60, 70,& 80 mm diameter logs in the cambs area

    Equestrian center? Fencing company? or look for nearist wood mill!!!!!!!! But u new that Where in Cambs r u?????

    Have you thought of telegraph poles? I know some are on ebay, but you can find them locally when they are being replaced. They are normally left for the farmers, but it is often possible to negotiate the purchase of them. The main benefit is that they are pressure creosoted and last for ages.

    They were sold to farmers for beer money when I worked for BT.

    Avoid the hassles of untreated wood construction.

    Use treated, planed 4" x 2" - up to 4.2m lengths easily available.

    trying to keep to the german spec might have to alter spec to sawn tanalised timber . hope not
