When I was thinking of buying one, I asked the same question, everyone who has one has said "YES".

Position and hold must be firm enough to support the firearm
The firearm must point naturally at the target without any undue physical effort
Sight alignment (aiming) must be correct
The shot must be released and followed through without disturbing the position

But what did you buy ?

Really good glas, but very very heavy scopes, especially if compared to swarovski.

I have both and am very happy with both, all vari powers,as stated the Swaro is more compact than the IOR, mine is the 6-24x50 and sits atop of a heavy long range set up so not concerned about the bulk, half the price of a Swaro

I have IOR 6-24x50 and a S+B 3-12x50 and rate them both, the IOR is a monster but then my rifle is heafty before I put the scope on and I am a big lad so not a problem!!

I have 2! awesome kit for the money, yes they heavy but just means they built to last and dont mind general field abuse! I have the 6-24x50 on my .223 and the 2-12x32 on my .308!

I looked through a few and they definitely seem pretty good. The varipower one(2.5-10x42) set at 6x42 did not seem quite as sharp or as good in the contrast dept as my swaro 6x42 (which I had there for comparison) but it was pretty good and looked well built. Excellent v for m,, I'd say.

Anyone tried the 2-12x36 IL IOR?

I wonder if it would be the thing for driven piggies.
