Thread: Public Highways

    Public Highways

A reliable source has told me the law does not interpret footpaths or bridleways as public highways, it's just a matter of police interpretation.

Could anyone shed some light on this?

Blindness to suffering is an inherent consequence of natural selection. Nature is neither kind nor cruel but fiercely indifferent.

Why not phone the Deer Initiative and ask them ,they took the time to write a Best Practice guide for England , by the way it has nothing to do with the police, its legislation and Government Acts, check the Acts with relevance to paths and bridleways.

MS it's good to know that your latreal way of thinking pays dividends. I didn't have you down as a rambler though. You can protest, but why else would you have known where to find that link?

I think that link might have out of date info regarding rights of way since the new access bill came into force. Everywhere is now a right of way.

Sorry, of course, only up here people can walk through your garden and leave crisp packets and empty plastic bottles behind.
