Realistically what distance should i have my scope set to on my .22 mag rimfire its all rabbits and fox shooting on the lamp i do .i have never really paced out a shot but im zeroing it in tomorrow before an evening lamping

I set my 22mag 1" high at 100 yards. Depending on the ammo you use, you should be then zeroed at 120-130yards and 3-4" low at 150 yards.

120 - 130 yards is the realistic maximum range of a 22mag. That said, the 30 and 32gr ballistic tip type ammo has made the wmr a much more useful round than it was with 40gr HP ammo.

I zero mine for 90 yards. I found if I zeroed over that the rise at say 50 yards would mean i miss a rabbit's head
