    Woodcock

I have been told that there is a total ban on woodcock shooting on FC land.

    Is this true ??

there hs been a ban on woodcock for a long while they say they are not a sustainable asset being migratory . Some well known sporting estates near me have also band the shooting of them as we get hundreds when the weather gets bad up north and to be fair they are pretty thin by the time they get to us . Shot one last night while pigeon shooting but this one had fat on it still as we have not had the weather in the midlands like other areas have

I've got a gun in a little syndicate on FC land - we're not allowed to shoot woodcock until November, when the immigrant birds arrive. Apparently. Not sure how we tell if they're Brits or not...
