Cardboard Ammo boxes for either .25-06, .270, .30-06 or 7x64

    As header really.

I reload my own ammo for my 7x64 and so don't have boxes to put them in. I was wondering if anyone had an empty factory 20 rnd box and insert for any of the above calibres that they didn't want as they are all the same case size.

    Many thanks

Why not buy a couple of the MTM ammo storage boxes. They are not that expensive and they do 20 and 50 rnd versions I believe.

I have a 50 round one which I use for re-loading into, but I like to de-cant them into a smaller one when I go out.

I also have a smaller 20rnd MTM one which is like two clam shells. But I don't like using that either unless it is full as it relys on the bullets to keep the two halves evenly spaced.

The factory boxes are great I find when I just want to take ten rounds or so with me somewhere and the cases don't rattle in the inserts like they do in the MTM's either.

I had a couple of factory .25-06 boxes but I have misplaced one and the other got wet and ruined last time I was out!

Someone out there must just bin their empty boxes? I used to when I had a .308!!

Just for carrying afield this is what I use:-

RWS leather ammo wallet. They are also offered by other makers in cordura and nylon and for short cartridges.

Sorry could not be bothered to just take a photo of the wallet so used this old composite one.

I have 5 RWS cardboard .270 boxes if they are any use. They only have cardboard dividers though (not like norma/federal plastic inserts).

So where is it that you shoot that doesn't allow hand loaded ammo? JC

If I wanted to disguise handloads, I would have asked for only 7x64 Norma boxes

I am sorted now anyway thanks

Hadn't even thought of the stripper clip idea, but having just dug one out it fits my 7mm cases as well as the nato 7.62.

Thanks for that idea, that can go in the pocket now
