    .308 win "oversized" dies - whay/why?????

    a question to the learned!

i've just taken delivery of a LE Wilson bullet seater, ordered in .308 win - it arrived marked as "oversized" - seems that an unloaded case can be pushed further in than in my other calibres - anyone know what this is for, is a variation of a .308 for longer necked cases or something? seems to load the bullets up ok.

Perhaps it is to accommodate a variety of case dimensions aside from the neck?? ~Muir
