    Imr 4064

    Hi.
Does anybody have experiance of using IMR 4064 to reload 243 win calibre, I have quite alot of it and have struggled to find any up to date data on its use with 243 win will be using 95 bt noslers.
    Thanks.

The Hornady manual lists IMR 4064, but seem to be steering you towards lighter bullets than 95gr. It is the slowest listed powder for 95-100gr bullets. However looks a good candidate for all the lighter bullets listed in the Hornady manual. I use RL-19 and N165 for heavy bullets in my .243.

Hey, found the hodgdon site but thanks for the link, I have quite alot of reloading info but some of it contradicts itself, posted hoping someone might have some knowledge/use of it, Thanks again.

Pat. There's lots of published info out there, however it would be unwise to go against Hodgdon's advice on the usage of their powder. Put your parameters into their site and work up a load and see what happens.

As I said in my earlier post, your choice of powder and heavy bullet don't really match. I would suggest you get another powder or pick a lighter bullet - reloading is one area where you can't take short cuts to save a little money.

Hi Patjack, If you get stuck with the IMR 4064, let me know - I will give you 30 bob for it! It is a good powder for my 22-250 up to 55gr. Cheers Gordon
