Thread: Great for carrying a heavy rifle!

Cool Great for carrying a heavy rifle!

    Hi all,

As a Tikka T3 Varmint owner I found the rifle cumbersome to walk long distances with and the fact that it was top heavy kept making it want to swing backwards.

Anyway to cut a long story short I used this product last year and it has made my life so much easier:

    Here's a link to a YouTube video:

    Hope it helps someone

I am appalled that in this day and age of equality, you find it acceptable to post an advert for a woman gun bearer...

Not sure how suitable it would be for hard hill walking tho !

I find the rucksack type rifle sling the best solution to keep a rifle on your back and your hands free to glass etc. I did not get mine from them but Bushwear have the in stock.

I have used mine in thick forest and climbing up and over rocky areas without any problems.

Sorry miss-read what you wrote! I often stalk with a rucksack on my back so the rucksack sling won't work for me. The advantage of this system is you can wear it on your side as well as having a rucksack.

I have had one of these holsters for about 6 years the only problem I find is pushing through trees. It works great with a mod it stops the rifle wanting to turn over

    Jonher,
A mate of mine use's and swear's by this type of ruck sack sling.

Although myself i use a conventional sling, I think in the possibility of a fall
I would rather my rifle landed on me and not the other way about.
Bearing in mind there are some 's out there

I ordered mine from the US, I bought the "complete pack" they sell for $50 plus $20 postage so works about about 44.
