    Would the slight buzz scare the deer or not do you think.

    Must be crap if they've had to put a compass in it to try jazz it up,probably atract them

    Avon ever so soft midges love it.
    Jungle formula they come to that for breakfast.
    CLITronella they eat that as well
    In all honesty I have given up on midge repellants and started using a face veil to hide my ugly fisog but I havent tried that gadget yet that guy invented which had a 12 volt fan built into a hood and looks like a dead jap sniper but In all honesty I am getting desperate so will be prepared to try anything

    Have also try'd them with no joy, this season I'm going to try AUTAN.
    If all else fails, the face veil will have to do.

    The place to look is the Scandinavian suppliers. They tend to have finer nets that you don before putting your jacket on. Your brim gives the clearance you need and the mesh is fine enough that you don't notice through optics.

    Hi Stu -- Boots Repel Lotion is the stuff for me. I've tried loads o other makes but this seems to work against our monster mossies up here.
