Thread: On a shed roof?

    On a shed roof?

If you ever find yourself on a shed roof pulling old wire out of the Ivy. Then think to yourself "If this bit breaks I am going to end up falling off",I strongly advise listening to yourself!!!!.

The two things that saved me from a serious injury were that I held onto the wire and I have a fat arse!

At the moment I can hardly flaming walk and feel lucky to be as stupid as this and still alive considering I fell onto concrete!?

Just ordered online a T shirt with
"I told you so" on it .

Have you got a piccy of your expression on your face when it hurt, I love looking at those

Its a like when my mate hits his thumb with the Hammer I get great pleasure in watching his expression

Thinking on it now, did you look round before the pain hit the brain to check no-one saw you?

I've had a similar close call tacking an aerial wire down the side of a sloping roof. I'd got nearly all the way along when I started slipping, holding onto the aerial wire and watching the cable clips I'd just hammered on pinging off one by one, lowering me by 6" towards the edge as each one broke! Not fun!

I slipped of a shed roof about 5 years back, fell 6" and shattered my heel bone Fu**ing Nightmare!!!

No operation nothing to pin to.,( just like a shattered bottle thats not collapsed ).

Was layed up near on 4 months then physio for 3 months.

After that it's been a long hall but an eventually get'n there now.

Apart from a limp in severe cold weather.

THAT WAS JUST 6 FEET A REAL BUMMER!!!

WOULD'NT WISH THAT ON ANYBODY NO JOKE.

I deserve all the ribbing you can give!
Looking back on it now still makes me feel sick in the stomach.
Thats what I get for being an absolute MUPPET!

The more I think about it the more I realise how damn lucky I was .
At 20 year old I would have done a tripple back twist and landed on my feet.
At 55 I did a rear pike with scream and landed on my arse!

Got to be a lesson there somewhere?

Its comforting to know you are all concerned? lolol
