Max case length usually quoted as 2.494"

"Trim to" length usually quoted as 2.484"

mmm... a transatlantic difference of opinion. I will withhold the Scooby snack until we get confirmation. I may also buy a new reloading manual as the lee one that I got secondhand about 20 years ago is lacking in this area! JC

No difference of opinion, in my view.

Just a "normal" range of options. I'm guessing Muir likes to trim to max length, that's all... I'd say you can choose whatever you like but "typically" somewhere between the recommended Minimum of 2.484" and the recommended Maximum of 2.494" would be appropriate. Hell, you may even have good reason and justification for operating outside these parameters but I can't imagine the need.

Thats good enough for me, I tend to use a logging tape more than a micrometer so we are not going to fall out over ten thou! JC

Folks can quote what ever they like, and trim it down to the shoulder if they wish, but you'd better have that case trimmed back to 2.494" to have it in spec! You can have the Scooby treat though...whatever that is.~Muir
