A mystery for the SD deer experts to identify.

I hope these attachments work on my first attempt.

The week-old droppings in the tupperware box were collected by me after watching a hind unlike anything I've ever seen before. Watched it for over an hour at 150 to 400yards range, and saw it again a week later. The other comparative pictures were obtained from the web.

The cleaves in the tracks I measured at 10cm in length, and 8cm broad. The length of the stride varies between 22" and 27". Estimated weight 250lbs.

    Ideas?

Looking at your location and the size of the slots/fewmets, it has to be a Red hind. I shot one myself tonight of a similar size (in Norfolk). However, quite strange for it to be alone at this time of year. It should be with a group, or at least have a calf/follower with it.
