    Which Twilight??

Just wondering if anyone else uses twilight calculators as per http://www.good-stuff.co.uk/suntimes/

If so do you use the civil, nautical or astronomical twilight calculations? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twilight#Civil_twilight

Why the need to calculate twilight in the first place?

There's no real need to make any twilight calculations for stalking purposes is there? The legal times for shooting deer are based on 1 hour before and after official sunrise & sunset at your location.

If it's to try and fix when the deer might actually be visible and therefore shootable, then there are many other factors that will affect the outcome - quality, magnification and size of optics, weather conditions and location being some.

    I do use it.

Of course we are all aware of when it is legal to actually shoot deer, but I for one would not shoot a deer 59minutes after sunset !!! However, the site is useful as a tool to tell me approximately what time I might need to be on the ground if I want to be in position for the dawn or dusk.

Certainly I like to pop out, when bunny bashing, for the last hour or so of the day and this is then useful for that.

I find Civil twilight to be most useful in this instance.

    Cheers + ATVB
