Not Hans Christian Anderson bu Hands Free

I stalk most of the time with my hands free and dont need to constantly hold the rifle sling from working off my shoulder and this is achieved by sowing a leather button on the shoulder part of my roesack .Just flip the rifle sling over the other side and there you go hands free stalking but only works if your roesack has a built in chest strap to stop the shoulder straps from working off.

I did almost the same thing with my highland stalking rucksack (won't be sticking any red stags in that one and putting on my back) ..I had a strap with a clip stitched around the top of the shoulder strap, when I need the rifle off, I press the clip on top and it free's it up. The alternatives with a double strap are no good if you are wearing a rucksack, so I feel this is the only good solution + it's great to have both hands and arms free when struggling through the peat holes!

The Harkila sacks come with a built in hook for this purpose.

Is the a hook on both straps then to cater for if your left or right handed?

Given it's a Finnish brand, you'd think they would be forward thinking enough to make the hook moveable. Had it been German, they would only have right handed versions...
