    HELP - priming rod broken

    *******o!!!!!!!

My Lee Classic Loader de-priming rod for .243 snapped...F@ck!...

How do I get a new one of the same???

would have thought they are pretty standard and simple.
any engineer could knock one up on a lathe out of some tool steel.

other than that have you tried Lee?

yeah, but don't know a machine engineer,,,,Lee doesn't have a UK contact number, and posting a priming rod to the US will cost about the same as buying a whole new kit

you could do what I did and contact midwayuk and probably get the same reply as I did,
If not handled properly the pin will snap, Lee sell the pin as a consumable part. The link below is for a replacement pin:

    Kind regards,

what I did after that was go out and buy a Lee hand press, dies, ramprime and some other bits and bobs, now reloading is a lot quieter (although not as cheap)
I am considering using the Lee loader for neck sizing the brass to save full length resizing, and when I'm in the states later this year I will see if I can pick up a replacement.

TIM HANNAM carries spare Lee decap rods. These are one-piece as they have an integral neck expander section.

I got a replacement for an 8x57 FLR die I snapped the pin on a few months ago.

You should get one by return post if you 'phone up.
