Be prepaired to be shafted !

My insurance went up 63% this year . Why ? no reason apart from they said its an industry wide increase .
Worst thing is after spending a week looking i have hardly saved much cash by changeing .

I am expecting an increase mate after doing the family saloon in January but after shoping around managed to keep it at a little above last years premium.
Fingers crossed I can do better with the truck

im with direct line, id rather pay a bit more for good cover but my renewal came in and it was at least 50% more!!!!!!!!!

i phoned up was told the same its going up industry wide....i asked why and was told

"to cover the industry lossess etc form unisured drivers and others claims"
    !!!!!!!!!!!!!

i asked her " i havent claimed in any shape or form but what your saying is i have to pay for those that do?!?!?!?!!"

told her i was going elswhere and with my wifes car policy too and they cut it right back...still more than last year bout 45 dearer but not 50% !!!!!!!

    legalised fecking extortion
you stay on the straight n narrow ;aw abiding etc then the expect you to just bend over and take a shafting without a word.....sums up this country in total i think

I have been told that if you go through NFU they will cover you for use of road. I don't think many others do that but could be wrong. Worth a call though.

the quote I got off the NFU could not be matched by any of the others, when getting a quote make sure its for the same sort of cover, ie breakdown cover, loan car, etc

Tell your company to stick it, politly of course. The day before it runs out, they call you, be prepared ! Play them off , tell them you have a quote from a 4x4 specialist & knock 50 off last years premium. They will bluff you , but they will match it in the end. Just incase tho, check out the family run insurance brokers, they always come up trumps for me try ' peter best ' Good luck
