Boling Out a Head in an aluminium pan?

    Hi,

My good lady thought my old pan that I use to boil out heads should have been skipped when we had one on the drive a few months ago!!!

I am going to boil out the nice roe buck I recently shot. The only pan that I will not get in the brown sticky stuff for using is aluminium. I have read in richard priors roe deer book that aluminium pans are not good for this purpose? Anyone know why?

    Cheers

Aluminium pan is OK,but you get a reaction if you use washing soda crystals, if you are going to use aluminium use some biological soap powder.

Right. That must be it then. I normally use soda crystals.

I will see if I can find a pan in the back of the cupboard she wont miss!!!

I use washing up liquid, and that should be fine with the alu pan, but be careful too much and when it starts to boil it goes everywhere, but does degrease the heads well.
