    .243 Varget loads for 87gn v max

Has anyone loaded the above heads with varget ?, and if so any load data and experiences.
I usually load 75 vmax with 42 varget and its the danglies in my rifle ,but i have had some on back order for months and now down to my last few rounds.
All i could get were the 87or 65 versions so opted for the former, will try to develop a load tommorow so any info would be appreciated . DF

    Hi Bob

I have used this combo in my old 243 with great results, sadly i lost my reloading book.

BTW that vid was good, looking really good.

75 vmax with 42grn varget shoots great in my remmy to 0ne hole groups at 100yrds . also for a super fast fox round try a 58 vmax with 41grn h380 behind it

    Thumbs up

I use 37.5gr Varget with Hornady 87gr BTHP.

    Chrono'd at 3001 FPS.

With testing I found it shot at it's best just touching the lands !!

    Thank you.

But really it is only a test of the rifle and that the load seems to suit.

Rested on sand filled bags front and rear on a windless day is rather atrificial....But it does mean I am confident in the rifle and load and that in the field the rest will then be down to me doing my bit.

    Cheers + ATVB
