    Hi

just roughly how much will a 150 grain sp 308 (factory load) bullet drop at 200 yards if ZEROED at 100 yards.

Federal quote 3.9 inches for their 150gn sp power shocks so would guess 3.5 -4" would cover most.

The only real sure way to know is to shoot it and see as it depends on a lot of factors. I always zero my 308 at 200 yards which puts it about 2 inches high at 100 yards but I've found that depending on ballistic data or the output of a computer programme can be a disaster waiting to happen.

Using this plus my load details with a 100 yard zero:

Gives me 3 inches low at 200 and nearly 12 inches low at 300 and 27 inches low at 400. I know that in the real world with a 200 zero I'm about 26 inches low at 400 so you can see the problem.
