Do not be a wally, like me, wear chainsaw boots

I should have replaced my last pair. They would have been cheaper that the 50 it cost me to get back from A&E in the taxi.Click image for larger version.

Hope the wound heals soon, the photo reveals a faulty stance, chainsaw boots are an absolute must, but so is proper use of the equipment, I once allowed a chain to run slack................... right up until the first time the face guard did it's job. Steve.

Rob, sorry to hear that - kind of encourages me to wear proper kit when in the woods.

    Ouch!!!
A timely reminder as I'm off out in the woods this afternoon to site 3 new seats and there will be chain saws and pole saws involved!
Mind you, i've got a safer method than good boots.
I get 'deer man' to do it as he is a professional Arborist and come fully equipped!!!

You're right again MS - - get someone who knows what they are doing to do it - - give them some venison - - everyone's happy.

    A close call mate.
I am always amazed how many cheap saws are sold to the general public with just a bit of a leaflet listing few do's and dont's as protection.
A misssed opportunity for a new fee collection from HMG?
