    Left handed .270

I've a slot for a .270 and would be keen to hear from anyone selling a left hander or who knows of one for sale.

Alternatively, if anyone knows of a new Browning a bolt languishing on a shop shelf in .270 then I'd be delighted to hear about it. I've been told they aren't making them anymore.

I have a left handed Tikka Varmint S/S in 25-06. Very good rifle. Worth thinking about as they do that in .270

but being a left hander is a pain in the arse and were often forced to pay a premium because of it !

guntrader.co.uk - Remington .270 700 Classic Deluxe Bolt Action Second Hand Rifle

its a remington but well worth a look for the price !

+1 on Ruger (or Tikka or Sako) - and the fact that it's a PITA to find a good southpaw rifle...but persevere and you'll find one. You may want to look at Savage too.

    Best of luck

i looked in again today, its on the shelf for 400. its a left handed m65 with the normal bolt knob and open sights. it has rosewood caps on forend and pistol grip. metal is 99% if not 100%, wood is not dented but has dulled - probably been sleeping in wealthy locals cabinet and hardly ever used. rubber butt pad looks original and un perished, crown looks good and bolt/action have no rust. a but of tlc and some stock oil would bring it up lovely. has no mounts but has qd sling swivels fitted, no marks on stock from bipod (probably never had one fitted). mag is in excellent condition and the original factory paint blobs cab be seen when the mag is removed. its obviously not screwcut as it has the open sights. perhaps a low offer might secuer it? harry the gunsmith wasnt in as he's fractured his arm - ps. if you are interested dont let them screwcut it for you - send it to a proper smith. good luck

Much obliged for your efforts. I spoke with roxtons yesterday and got some of the low down, but not in the detail you have provided!

I may be down that way with work next week, so hoping to bob in to take a look at it

Thanks again, SD at its best!
