Muntjac fawns

The more I think of this, the more it's got me wondering.

The only British deer that could conceivably have small fawns/kids at heel at this time of year is the muntjac. All of the rest won't be birthing for another month, and their young from last year would be adult size by now (CWD kids born in May/Jun are big enough to rut the following December!). CWD in south Bucks is quite possible.

So what the hell did your mate actually see?

Come on Buckup, more info please!

as i look in this latest edition of the BDS deer magazine (page 57) some one has written in to say of an account where he believes he saw muntjac twins
in resonse to this charles smith-jones says
'extremely rare cases of twin foetuses in muntjac have been recorded, although i hav never heard of surviving twins in the wild. '
there is more but not as relevant to paticular direction this post has headed
so bring on the pics
